Temporary registration of UTnet services
As a employee you sometimes have guests. These guests will also wish to use the UT-wide network. As a host, you can therefore make use of the following services:
· |
You can register a temporary Ethernet card (address network card) for your guests if they wish to use the hard-wired UT-net. |
· |
You can apply for an account for your guests if they wish to use WLAN and Windows services, such as logging on in the PC-room (library). |
A temporary registration is valid for the maximum of one week, until the next Saturday when the account will be removed..
If, as a host, you register someone, the results are sent to your UT e-mail box. The registration is then active within a quarter of an hour.
The following rules apply to temporary registration:
· |
The standard rules of conduct according to netiquette are applicable. |
· |
The applicant for the account is answerable if, for example misuse is made of the account. |
Furthermore, the normal rules of conduct should be respected.
