DATA MIGRATION TOOL
Using the data migration tool you can copy files or folders to a backup location. This tool is located in:
\\ad.utwente.nl\ut\Tempstorage

Under Welcome in the tool, the location where your data will be stored is displayed. This will be Backup location : \\ad.utwente.nl\ut\Tempstorage\<login-id>\<name workstation>

This manual is written for an UT Workstation with Windows 7. |

When making your way through the manual, you will often be required to perform actions. For these actions, a consistent style of writing has been used: references to text and buttons on screens are printed in italics, information that you have to enter yourself is printed in bold. |
MIGRATING DATA
Step 1: Select directories

Select I agree. |

Click Next. |

Select the drive you want to secure. |

Click Next. |
You get a list of folders you probably do not want to download. If you do want this uncheck the box of the directory.

Click Next. |
Step 2: Creating Extentions
Now there is a list with extensions will be made. (Can take a couple of minutes).

Select the extensions you want to copy. |

Click Next. |
Now a list with files to copy is being made. When a file path is too long, the next notification will be displayed.

Step 3: Show selection

Click OK to continue. (Clicking Cancel will brijg you back to the step of Disk Selection) |

Under Show selection all files you are about to copy are displayed. |
Here you can have a last look at the directories you want to include or not. Simply uncheck the directories you don’t want to include. You’ll then see the total number of files and total file size decreasing.
There is a chance that you’ll have to close some opened applications like Outlook.

Click OK or Next. |
Now all files are being copied and the process is concluded by the next notification:
