ICT facilities for former employees
Former employees often have a wish or need to stay in touch with ex-collegues and contacts outside of the UT. For ex-employees with a long record of service, the UT has made arrangements that will allow them to continue using the general ICT-facilities. This way they can easily continue communications with their ex-colleagues and contacts outside the UT. It is in the interest of the UT to continue to support these contacts and contributions.
1. |
By a "former employee with a long-term record of service" is meant someone who has worked for the UT for 10 years and whose employment has been terminated as a result of retirement or an early retirement arrangement. |
2. The ICT facilities made available to former employees are:
- the right to make use of the UTnet from home, as for employees and students at the UT, is made possible by ICTS,
- if desired, a mailbox is made available to the former employee in the domain "@misc.utwente.nl".
3. |
The former employee can obtain these rights by applying for them from ICTS, via the special application form. (PDF) This right will only be put to effect after the former employee has obtained permission from the dean/manager of the unit in question. |
4. |
If it is in the interests of the UT that for a former employee other than those referred to under 2, the facilities referred to under 3 are temporarily continued, the dean or manager of the management unit in question can submit a reasoned application to the ICTS director. |
5. |
For the use of the facilities, the former employee is as far as possible subject to the same rules that apply to every UT employee. This also applies to the costs that ICTS does or does not, charge. |
6. The facilities for former employees will terminate if they have not been used for six months or if the manager decides to do so. The former employee is notified in advance of the faculty's intention to terminate the facilities.
