Network access for guests
To obtain access to the network of the University of Twente, you should contact your (UT) host. Listed below is a summary of the various options that exist to obtain network access.
Commercial businesses at the UT can obtain an internet connection using a so called Local Loop connection. You can find more information on this subject in the document "Commercial connections" at the bottom of this page.
Granting access to the UT-wide wireless network
Your (UT) host can create or facilitate a temporary account, with which you can log on to the UT network. You can subsequently utilize the UT-wide network. At the bottom of this page you will find manuals explaining how to start using the wireless network.
Granting access to the wired UT network
Your host can temporarily register your computer's network card for the wired UT-network. After registration, your computer will be able to access the wired network at least 7 days.
