Care leave

Your faculty or service department can grant you care leave in situations in which you take upon you the care for a close relative. A close relative is understood to mean: your partner, your parents, your partner’s parents, and your children (and their partners). The care leave can be granted in full, partially or without retention of salary.

A request for care leave is to be submitted to the administrator of your faculty or service department. If he/she cannot consent to your request, you can ask for the advice of the company social worker of the Stichting Arbodienst Drienerlo. The advice of the company social worker is binding.

It can occur that due to circumstances you are unable to apply for care leave in advance. Although it is preferable you apply in advance, it is also possible to do this afterwards.
