INFLUENCING OTHERS MORE EFFECTIVELY: HOW TO ACHIEVE WHAT YOU ENVISAGE

For whom?

Dutch speaking staff at academic of HBO (higher vocational education) level who wish to (or need to) have more influence in discussions and meetings and wish to (learn to) create choices as to the ways in which they act and react. You will acquire insight into the background of your own behaviour, obtain a better understanding of yourself and of the reactions of colleagues. You are willing to reflect on your own style and practice with alternative behaviour.

Dates 2012:

Monday 29 October and Monday 12 November 2012, from 09:00 to 17:00.

Costs:

This course is free of charge. However, to participate you need permission from your superior.

Group size:

Max. 12 participants.

Result

After the training:

- you have experimented with exercising influence and achieving what you envisage

- you have done practical exercises on acting effectively in difficult conversation situations

- you have a better understanding of your own strong or less developed sides

- you have insight into how others act and their reaction patterns

- you are able to give a positive impetus to interaction patterns between yourself and others

Subjects

Content

- methods to manage yourself in difficult situations

- recognising patterns in interactions with colleagues and relationships

- the psychology of the different aspects of our selves (Psychology of Selves)

- using less well-developed sides of ourselves effectively

Duration and time involved

Two full days (total of 16 hours), including lunch, in de Drienerburght building.
