COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY: WHAT DO YOU MEAN? |
For whom? |
For Dutch speaking staff from MBO (intermediate vocational education) level who wish to (or need to) improve their communication skills. You wish to convey your message(s) more effectively and improve the way you deal with difficult discussion partners. You also wish to have a better understanding of what takes place between you and your colleagues, both in individual discussions and during meetings. You also wish to learn to effectively ask for and provide feedback without harming your relationship with other people. |
Dates 2012: Tuesday 6 and 27 November 2012, from 09:00 to 17:00. Costs: This course is free of charge. However, to participate you need permission from your superior. Group size: Max. 12 participants. Supervision: René Meijer, senior trainer and director of het Balkon, training centre in Vasse. Application:

After the course: - you know how to make communication effective and what the pitfalls are - you have more insight into how you communicate, and how to do so more effectively - you have done several exercises on ‘communicating more effectively’, including giving and receiving feedback |

Communication in groups (departmental consultations, meetings, project groups and such): - listening to what lies beneath the content communicated - observing communication patterns in groups - communicating effectively in groups - handling difficult conversation situations in groups Communication in 1-to-1 situations (colleagues, students, superiors and others) - listening, summarising, probing, also with regard to the undercurrents in the communication - calling someone to account for his behaviour: giving and receiving feedback - dealing with difficult discussions and discussion partners effectively |
