For whom? |
UT staff members (Dutch speaking) who want to use their body to perform better in difficult situations. Bodycheck@Work is advisable for example if you suffer from: nervousness, tension, insomnia, tension-type headache, worrying or fatigue. |
Dates 2012 Monday 24 September, 8 and 29 October and 12 November 2012, from 9.00 till 12.30 in the Santar building. Costs There is no charge for this course. For participation to all courses you must have permission from your head of department Group size 6 to 8 participants. Supervision By an experienced trainer of Santar. Literature The course material is handed out during the course. Registration Registration form September-November 2012 This course will be conducted in the Dutch language! |
Results |
At the end of the training you will be more, and more quickly, in contact with your body, enabling you to feel where your pitfalls and qualities lie. You will have learned various techniques to effectively cope with stress and emotions. These techniques will help you to be more in touch with yourself and your environment. The training makes use of the principles of mindfulness. Using an action plan you will apply what you have learned in practice. This way you avoid a relapse and your qualities come to the fore. During your work you will be more aware of what you want, enjoy your work more and be more productive. |

In many situations your body can tell you what the trouble is and help you do something about it. Like most people, you are probably not aware of your body and how it feels the whole day. By focusing on your body, you will be able to better tune in to your own needs. The training Bodycheck@Work gives you the tools for listening to your body. Bodycheck@Work is set up around the questions: - Can you feel your body - What do you feel; - And what do you do with this information? |
