Research
Marks main research interest includes communication, specifically in the context of organizations. He studies work meaning and the ways people make sense of the content and significance of their work. This leads to research projects on (professional) identity dynamics, work relatonships, identification processes during change (e.g. mergers), job crafting en ‘healthy organizations.’
Further, he is interested in philosophy of science, again primarily within the context of communication studies. Research projects and paradigms include: history of ideas, actor-network theory, social constructionism, storytelling, Martin Buber and life history.
