Expertise

In august 2011 I graduated from the Health Psychology Master at the Twente University. The subject of my masterthesis was the evaluation of the online intervention “Voluit Leven” which is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness for people with mild to medium mental symptoms but without psychopathology.

After my graduation I worked as a student assistant at the University of Amsterdam.

In February 2012 I started my PhD study at the Twente University at the department Psychology, Health & Technology. I’m interested in the mental health promotion and positive psychology.

Researchprojects

The aim of the PhD-project is the evaluation of an online selfhelp intervention which is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and mindfulness for partners of cancer patients. In a randomized controlled trail an intervention condition will be compared with a minimal intervention condition and a waiting-list condition. Long-term effects and cost efficacy will be tested, too.

The project will be conducted in collaboration between Twente University, Free University Medical Centre, Free University and Rijks University Groningen. Supervisors in the study are dr. C.H.C Drossaert (daily tutor), prof. dr. E.T. Bohlmeijer (first promotor) and prof. dr. I.M Verdonck- de Leeuw (second promotor).
