Together with Jaap Scheerens the coordination of Network C of the OECD – INES project on international education indicators (September 1997 – date). The work of Network C concentrates on human resources indicators, indicators on decision making- structures of educational systems and, in particular, on process indicators of school functioning (September 1997 – date).

From review to improvement in European Vocational Education and Training (VET): developing guidelines for utilizing quality assurance data for improving the functioning of VET-providers (a project with partners from England, Germany, Estonia, Italy, Denmark, and The Netherlands; October 2005- September 2007).

The development of active citizenship on the basis of informal learning at school: examining the role schools can play in developing citizenship (a project with partners from Romania, England, Germany, Italy, Cyprus, and The Netherlands; October 2005- June 2007).
