European symposium on item response theory in health measurement

On June 14, 2011, the department of Psychology, Health & Technology of the University of Twente held its first symposium on item response theory in health measurement in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The symposium was aimed at bringing together researchers and clinicians interested in outcomes research and providing an overview of the possibilities and current state of the art of item response theory (IRT) methods and computer adaptive testing (CAT) in health measurement. Several national and international speakers gave presentations on the basics of IRT and CAT and practical examples of successful applications across a variety of medical fields.

The presentations can now be downloaded from the Presentations and Speakers tab.

Given the success of the symposium, we intent to make this a recurrent event.
