Symposium 'From fundamentals to applications of solar energy conversions'

Monday May 13th, 10:00h till 17:30h, Drienerburght Conference Hotel, Room A and B, University of Twente, Enschede
Organized by Angèle Reinders, Mark Huijben, Guus Rijnders, University of Twente
Short description: During the symposium’s program national and international invited speakers will present their research ranging from fundamental material research to design engineering of solar energy technologies. The discussions will address the issue of how to better translate fundamental science to applications of solar energy conversions, ranging from a.o. photocatalytic technologies, photosynthesis, photovoltaic solar cells, and concentrating solar photovoltaics. As well as that students will show their projects on applications of solar energy technologies by poster presentations.
This one-day symposium is a follow up of the meeting on BioSolar Cells at the VU (2011) and the half-day symposium on New Concepts of Solar Energy Conversion at TU Delft (2012).
Target audience: senior researchers, PhD students and graduate students from natural sciences and engineering sciences.
Coffee and lunch included.
