Health management

As University of Twente we consider it very important that staff members are able to perform their tasks in an enjoyable way, in a healthy environment and in a healthy manner.

In order to ensure this, we have taken various measures. For example, there is a clearly defined Working Conditions Policy in place (which includes among other things workplace inspections, risk assessments, absenteeism counselling, etc). In addition to these necessary schemes we consider it important to offer facilities that contribute to improving the health and well-being of our staff. These facilities are the result of the Healthy and Strong at Work project. They include:

·

In-house keep-fit programme;

·

Group lessons (e.g. yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi etc.);

·

Various courses (coping with stress, time management, stop smoking, etc.);

·

Health checks;

·

Action weeks (several times a year);

·

Hexathlon and party.

bewegen

The UT takes its responsibility for health very seriously. Therefore we hope and expect that staff members will also take responsibility for their health and well-being and make use of the possibilities the UT offers.
