You are kindly invited to join the Fourth Conference entitled ‘Gender Management … Uncover Hidden Treasures’ of the Female Faculty Network Twente. The conference takes place on Thursday, November 6, 2008, in Room T1300 of the Horst Tower (Horsttoren) at the campus of the University of Twente, Drienerlolaan 5, 7522 NB Enschede. The morning session of the conference is open for public, and the aim of this session is to share the best practices of gender management within different types of organizations. The lectures will be given by invited speakers experienced with gender issues, followed by a panel in which they will discuss the efficiency of the various practices. In the afternoon, FFNT members can participate in different workshops.

Speakers:
Arjan Brunger is working at the UT since 2000, and he is heading the Group Directorate Personnel and Organization for two years now. ‘More women in higher positions at the UT’ is one of the many projects that fall under his responsibility.
Yvonne Benschop is Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Nijmegen School of Management, affiliated with the Institute for Gender Studies at the Radboud University of Nijmegen. Her main inspirations are feminist organization studies and critical management studies.
Edith Snoey is the chairwoman of the ABVAKABO FNV since 2005. Besides, she has experience as member of the management or supervisory board of HIVOS, Adviesbureau Altersum, ABP and GBIO.
Wouke Lam joined Shell in 1984. She has spent her career in a wide-ranging array of roles in the IT sector. Currently she is the Head of the Programme Management Office for the Infrastructure Sourcing Programme. She is an active member of Shell’s IT Diversity & Inclusiveness Council.
Hans Roosendaal is Professor for Strategic Management at the UT. Next to being a physicist, he is an expert in strategic knowledge and information management.
Chair: Joy Clancy, CSTM, is Associate Professor in technology transfer. Her research is focused on small scale energy systems for developing countries, and the role that energy plays as an input for small businesses. Gender is been an important factor addressed in her research.
