Veni and Vici grants for TST members
Two researchers of the TST group have succeeded in receiving prestigious NWO (Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research) under the so-called
“Innovational Research Incentives Scheme”. Szabolcs Deladi received a Veni grant for his proposal on further research on the nano-fountain pen. Gijs Krijnen was rewarded with a Vici grant for his proposal on biomimetic array-sensors, related to the earlier work on cricket inspired flow-sensors (see the CICADA pages). A short description of the proposal of Deladi can be found on the NWO pages, the proposal of Krijnen is briefly summarised here. A short interview (in Dutch) appeared in UT-Nieuws.
