Joost Lötters interviewed by STW on role of TST in Bronkhorst’ flow-sensor innovation |
Joost Lötters, affiliated with Bronkhorst High Tech as Technology Officer as well as with TST as Associate Professor, explains in the recent “STW Utilisation Report 2011” (in Dutch) how TST research on flow-sensors helps Bronkhorst to innovate and stay competitive in their business. He stresses the importance of excellent research, constructive long-term collaboration and exchange of MSc and PhD’s students between academia and industry. The example of the successful development of micro Coriolis flow-sensors also emphasizes how an infrastructure as found at the University of Twente, in combination with a cloud of SME’s picking up the micro and nano-research carried out in MESA+ creates the proper techno-economic climate for innovation.
