The Telemedicine Group
The Telemedicine Group investigates smart and ambulatory systems for remote monitoring and (remotely supervised) treatment of patients. The main clinical focus is on patients with human motor disorders of neurological origin. The ICT systems for remote monitoring and treatment are based on the technologies of Body Area Networks (BANs), miniature wearable devices and mobile and wireless technologies. Members of the Telemedicine Group are developing a generic architecture for Body Area Networks and an m-health service platform (MSP) to support BAN-based applications and services for healthcare.
