Oral Presentations
A presentation slot is 20 minutes, divided in 15 minutes presentation and 5 minutes discussion. The schedule for the oral presentations can be found in the programme.
Poster Presentations
The poster size should be in the A0 format (1189 mm high x 841 mm wide) in portrait orientation. The poster stands will be numbered, please place your poster at the stand corresponding to the poster number in the conference guide and please do not remove the number from the stand as this number will be used for the poster award.
Publication
Selected papers from the conference will be published in a special issue of Micromachines after the standard journal reviewing process. http://www.mdpi.com/journal/micromachines/special_issues/mfhs2012
Submission
For both types of presentations an author is obliged to submit a two page abstract in PDF format to abstract EasyChair. If you do not have one yet, you have to sign up for an EasyChair account, after which you will be able to upload and submit your contribution. Subsequently, you will receive an e-mail with the confirmation that your abstract has successfully been submitted
The submission deadline is 15 July 2012, after which you will be notified before 15 August whether or not you abstract is accepted. For the proceedings of the MFHS 2012 a full four page abstract is required, this has to be submitted according to the template before 15 September 2012, when your contribution has been accepted by the program committee.
Please make sure that the organization in EasyChair is filled out as in the following format:
MESA+ Institute for Technology, University of Twente, Enschede, the Netherlands as the organization will be used for the affiliation in the proceedings.
Topics
During the submission the topic of the abstract has to be mentioned, these topics include but are not limited to:
- Sensors: flow, pressure, viscosity, temperature, conductivity, heat capacity, density
- Actuators: valves, pumps, mixers, droplet generators
- Interfaces: electronic instrumentation, interconnections, assembly, technology
- Fluidic control systems: mass flow controllers, precision mixing, dosing and dispensing, calibration
- Applications: gas chromatographs, liquid chromatographs, medical analyses, micro reaction systems, bio-analytical systems
