Title: Identity Management

Abstract: “The Internet is becoming more and more crowded with all =inds of on-line services for anybody to use. Some of these services are used only temporarily, others (such as on-line banking), are used on a more permanent basis. As time goes by, the stored information about our identity (or identities) grows and grows, while at the same time, insight in what information is kept where and by whom decreases.

Identity Management (IdM) deals with the storage and usage of identity information, with the goal of keeping this information manageable while sustaining demands on privacy. In this talk, a few different IdM standards will be discussed and illustrated by practical examples.”
