In the bachelor’s programme, BIOS organizes:
· |
Biomedische Sensoren (201100139), BMT |
· |
Meettechniek (191210420), EE |
and is involved in:
· |
Introductie Elektronica en Elektrotechniek, IEEE (191211580), EE |
· |
Elektromagnetisch Veldtheorie (191211290), EE |

· |
Tutoring in the programme of Create |
· |
Minor Medische & Sportfysiologie (192700000) |
The BIOS group participates in two EE-master specialisations: Microsystems & Microelectronics and Biomedical Systems.
BIOS is responsible for the following master courses:
· |
Lab on a Chip (191211120) |
· |
Biomedical Signal Acquisition (191210720) |
and takes part in these master courses:
· |
Technology (191210730) |
· |
Material science (101210740) |
· |
Nanofluidics (193400121) |
BIOS is happy to offer students assignments for all possible projects: the B2 group project, B3 individual research assignment and the master thesis project. BIOS comprises several disciplines: electrical engineering, physics and chemistry. Therefore, BIOS accommodates students from many programmes; students from EE, AT, NT, BMT/BME, TN/AP and TG/TM are welcome.
No courses are obligatory before doing the master thesis project at BIOS. Nevertheless, BIOS advises master students to look at the following list of courses, relevant to the work carried out in the research lab of BIOS:
• |
Lab on a Chip (191211120) |
• |
Biomedical Signal Acquisition (191210720) |
• |
Material science (101210740) |
• |
Systems engineering (191211080) |
• |
Micro electro mechanical systems technology (191211050) |
• |
Technology (191210730) |
• |
Micro electro mechanical systems design (191211300) |
· |
Nanofluidics (193400121) |
In addition, for those students interested in a biomedical or biologically oriented project (typically BME students) the following courses are of possible interest:
· |
Medische Elektronica (bachelor course, 19121137) |
· |
Bionanotechnology (193400111) |
· |
Advanced Cell Biology (191350435) |
· |
Practical Course on Cell Biology (19350440) |
· |
Biomedical optics (193500000) |
· |
Clinical Chemistry (193640050) |
This list is for assistance only. Additionally, courses from other programmes or even other universities can be chosen.
