procedure publication conference and journal papers

The ASNA management team defined a new procedure concerning the publication of conference and journal papers that will be applied starting on January 1, 2006.

At the moment you have a paper accepted for a conference or journal you have to issue a CTIT Technical Report with the contents of the paper.

For details on issuing CTIT Technical Reports see the information below.

This information will also be available on our website.

Issuing a CTIT Technical Report:

In order to issue a CTIT Technical Report you should send the paper contents in PDF format to the CTIT secretariat (Anja Annink-Tanke, a.m.annink-tanke@ctit.utwente.nl), with a request to make it a CTIT Technical Report. The CTIT secretariat will process this request and print copies for the authors by default.

Turning a paper into a CTIT TR has at least five advantages:

1. Papers that are electronically available are cited more often.

2. Self archiving will eventually become the norm.

3. We can refer to the paper in research proposals.

4. You can claim your ideas early.

5. You get a stable link, since personal web pages tend to be less

stable.

METIS registration:

As soon as you are notified that your CTIT TR has been issued, you are kindly requested to notify Annelies, so that she can register your publication in METIS (UT monitoring system for research output)
