MIRA, the Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine, will host an innovative event on 31 March and 1 April for leading scientists, clinical professionals, entrepreneurs, students and journalists. Meet us, to share knowledge and ideas.
The programme includes:
• Introduction of MIRA's future plans and ambitions on research,
entrepreneurship and education by prof. dr. Clemens van
Blitterswijk and dr. ir. Martijn Kuit
• Several presentations of MIRA's state of the art research
including prof. dr. Vinod Subramaniam, prof. dr. Michel van Putten,
prof. dr. Dirk Grijpma, dr. Pamela Habibovic and prof. dr. Ivo
Broeders
• Fascinating lectures by key note speakers: prof. dr. Hans Clevers
(Hubrecht Institute, Utrecht), prof. dr. Jeffrey Hubbell (EPFL,
Switzerland) and prof dr Thomas Jovin (Max Planck Institute for
Biophysical Chemistry, Germany)
• Inspiring speeches by successful entrepreneurs: Per Slycke, MSc
(Xsens), prof. dr. Joost de Bruijn (Xpand Biotechnology) and Peter
Lems, MSc (Mobihealth)
• Workshop in cooperation with prof. dr. Maarten IJzerman, Science
Park and Venture Lab on being successful in healthcare
business
• Sensational finals of the 'Science factor', the award for the
most excellent and promising research proposal
• The finals of 'UTo Business', the award for the most creative and
innovative business idea
• The improvisation comedy of Europe's famous theater group Boom
