Creation and Evolution of a Start-up Company in MST

The company C2V started as a spin-off in Micro Systems Technology (MST) of the University of Twente's research institute for nanotechnology MESA+. Twenty years later it is part of Thermo Fisher, a multinational with an impressive product-market portfolio. In between is an 'innovation journey', that included partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and management buy-outs. A parallel process in these years, was the transformation from MST, from a radical innovative, to a mainstream technology. Dr. Job Elders, one of the company's co-founders and now Business Director at Thermo Scientific, will share his experiences, lessons learnt and vision on business growth.

Dr. Job EldersElders is the author of more than 80 technical papers, business papers and patents and has chaired, sponsored and presented at several MST events around the world. He received his Masters degree in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam.
