Rez Kabir (Professor of Corporate Finance) has received Emerald Citations of Excellence Award for 2015 at the recent Academy of Management meeting held at Vancouver, Canada. Emerald Group Publishing has given this award to his paper (co-authored with Rejie George of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore): “Heterogeneity in business groups and the corporate diversification - firm performance relationship”, published in the Journal of Business Research (vol. 65, pp. 412-420, 2012).
Each year Emerald selects highly cited papers related to the areas of Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics and Marketing – subjects in which it has been publishing journals for about 50 years. These papers were selected by Emerald editors based on the citations of papers published in 2012 and the content of the papers in terms of novelty, inter-disciplinary interest and relevancy.
About Kabir
Prof. Rez Kabir holds a Ph.D. degree in Finance and Master degrees in Economics and Business Administration. He joined the Faculty of Business, Management and Social Sciences in 2009. He has wide-ranging experience in international education and research. His main academic interests are on corporate finance, corporate governance, capital market research and investments. The research of Kabir is part of University of Twente's IGS research institute.
