On Friday, 26 June, Solar Team Twente will present its new solar car during the Out of the Box Festival at Twenthe Airport. With this new car, the team from Twente will see a dream come true: victory in October during the World Solar Challenge in Australia.
During an exclusive pre-show event, visitors will be taken along on Solar Team Twente's journey. After this exclusive pre-show for partners, press, family and friends, the Out of the Box Festival will bust loose. The Twenthe Airport event location will open its doors to all car enthusiasts, speed demons and lovers of life - young and old. The afternoon will be filled with the Twente Soapbox Derby, a fleet of old-timers, hybrids and electric vehicles and live music from the Bowtie Pandas. The new solar car will be revealed at 19:00.
Solar Team Twente
Solar Team Twente consists of 19 students from Saxion and the University of Twente. They are making their dream come true: winning the World Solar Challenge in October 2015! In addition to the students, Solar Team Twente comprises a powerful network of innovative partners. Together they practice top-class sport and are building the fastest solar car.
