The part-time master’s programme enables managers and professionals to realize their risk management ambitions with a strong organizational and management focus across the public and private sector.

The part-time master’s programme enables managers and professionals to realize their risk management ambitions with a strong organizational and management focus across the public and private sector.This comprehensive programme will equip you with a thorough understanding of societal and business risks and their internal and external components. You will develop an understanding of various specialist risk management themes with a view to developing a sound vision and policy, with or without interaction with specialists. These themes include financial risks, project risks and technological risks.


The initial focus of the programme is on the Netherlands in the context of globalization. The risk management cycle forms the backbone of the programme, with a unique approach that centres on risk financing. There is also a strong focus on risk communication and ethics, based on inputs from market surveys, risk assessment, risk control, and risk organization. 

The master’s in Risk Management consists of eight Master Classes – each addressing a crucial aspect of risk management – and an international study trip. You will conclude the programme by writing a master’s thesis, using research skills to tackle an issue from your own organization. 

This part-time programme is located in Amersfoort and designed for professionals with a higher education degree.
