Admission and application for Dutch HBO students

Whether you might be admitted to the (Pre-)Master's, depends on your previous education. There are several ways to find out if your bachelor's is sufficiently related. 

Below, you can find a selection of HBO bachelor's that fit this Master's:

Other (related) bachelor's could be admissible too. Find out if your educational institution is listed below and select your bachelor's to see if you might be able to enrol in the (Pre-)Master's.

Tip: is your educational institute not listed? Check if a similar bachelor's is offered at one of the listed institutes. If that one is admissible, then you might be eligible with your bachelor's too! Just contact the study adviser if you are still trying to figure out if your bachelor's is sufficiently relevant. 

If you have completed an HBO bachelor's that is not listed above, and you can argue and prove that your knowledge and skills in business administration are relevant and sufficient for the Master's in Business Administration, you can also apply for admission. In all cases, the admission committee will conduct an individual assessment procedure to determine if you have sufficient basic qualifications in business administration, for example in the form of a minor or additional modules in Business Administration or, in the case of students with a higher education qualification in engineering and technology (HTO), a post-HBO bachelor's in Bedrijfskunde such as the BK5 programme offered at Saxion University of Applied Sciences.

You must be able to demonstrate proficiency in English at pre-higher education level. You can demonstrate this by submitting one of the following documents (minimum requirements).

• A pre-higer education level diploma including English of at least level 6.0 or a VWO diploma
• A HAVO level diploma including English of at least level 6.0
• A separate HAVO level diploma in English of at least level 6.0
• Transcript showing completion of the Saxion English course (no longer offered at Saxion as of academic year 2021-2022)
• Academic IELTS, overall band score of at least 6.5
• TOEFL, internet-based (TOEFL-iBT) of at least 90
• Cambridge CAE-C (CPE)
• A certificate or other document comparable to the above, that proves you have English of at least pre-higher education level 6.0

You must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Mathematics at pre-higher education level. You can demonstrate this by submitting one of the following documents (minimum requirements):

• A HAVO level diploma including Mathematics A or B of at least level 6.0 or a VWO diploma
• A separate HAVO level diploma in Mathematics A or B of at least level 6.0 (VWO New Phase II as of 1 August 2007);
  - Refer to CCVX/CCVW diploma
  - Refer to Boswell Bèta
  - Refer to the NHA (exam must be passed)
• A certificate or other document comparable to the above, that proves you have Mathematics A or B of at least pre-higher education level 6.0.

• Copy of diploma.
• Transcript of records.
• Summary of thesis in English language (BSc or MSc).
• Motivational letter, explaining why you and the programme are a great fit (max. 2 pages). Give a clear and relevant statement of motivation for one of the specialisations.
• Résumé stating relevant work experience, extracurricular activities, honours or awards obtained (Tip: use the format of Europass to make sure everything is included).
