Professor Geert Dewulf as Dean ad interim of Faculty of Engineering Technology from September 2013

cid:image001.jpg@01CDCEE1.027A37E0The Executive Board has appointed Professor Geert Dewulf Dean ad interim of the Faculty of Engineering Technology from 1 September 2013. As Professor Rikus Eising will then be retiring and stepping down, Dewulf will temporarily be the acting Dean.

Professor Dewulf has held the chair of Planning and Development and been Head of the Department of Construction Management and Engineering since 15 August 2000. He has been vice-Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Technology since 2009. Before he joined the University of Twente, Dewulf was senior consultant at the Netherlands Organisation of Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and assistant professor in the Faculty of Architecture at Delft University of Technology.

Geert Dewulf is currently the UPS Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at Stanford University where his tasks comprise Public-Private Partnerships in Infrastructure Projects.

As Dean ad interim Dewulf will provide guidance to strategic changes, such as educational innovations, the formation of departments and the governance on the Faculty CTW, within the financial parameters established for the faculty by the Executive Board.
