Mentors
TEACHER MENTORS
Mentors are usually tutors who teach first-year modules. Each student is assigned a mentor at the start of the programme. Three individual interviews between the student and the mentor are scheduled in the first year. The mentor will explain the binding recommendation on continuation of studies during the introductory interview held in the first quarter.
No mentor interviews are scheduled in the second and third years of the Bachelor’s phase. Instead the student can request an interview with their mentor if they so wish. The mentor may decide to invite the student for an interview on the basis of the study progress overviews that are sent to the student together with the Programme Director’s letter of advice at the end of the academic year. Earlier study progress overviews and interviews may also be grounds for inviting the student for an interview.
The mentors use their experience as tutors to advise the students. They have been trained to assist students with study-related and personal matters. They may refer the student to the study adviser and/or the services of the student deans and psychologists.
STUDENT MENTORS
