SURVIVAL OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
December 14th, 2011, 13:00 – Waaier 3
The visibility of electrical engineering in our daily life has declined during the last decennia making it difficult to explain our field, especially to prospective students. At the same time our discipline has evolved into a wide field with numerous application fields in seemingly unrelated subjects. It is quite save to state that electrical engineering is essential to modern technology. Yet, we have a hard time to explain what the essence of our discipline today is. The conference aims at casting light on this question and at the generation of a few examples of applications which we can use to demonstrate the essential importance of electrical engineering for society.
