Dies Natalis 2024

We cordially invite you to join us for the Dies Natalis on Friday 24 May 2024. The ceremony will start at 15.00h and will take place in Waaier 1. It will be an afternoon of celebration, reflection, and progress in honour of the 'birthday celebration' of our institution.

The theme of this year's Dies Natalis will be Hope: the circular economy. Amidst a world that is changing rapidly, we strive to embrace the principles of sustainability and circularity, with education and research across UT playing a crucial role in shaping a better future.

The Dies lecture of 2024 will be given by Ing. Jan Hendrik Dronkers LLM, secretary-general of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. In his speech, he will discuss the ambitions of the ministry, and the opportunities and challenges he sees for the future.

You can also expect an insight from colleagues Sissi de Beer, Devrim Yazan and bachelorstudent Industrial Engineering & Management Chantal Ermling on their work for circularity. Traditionally we will have an award ceremony and the celebration will be followed by a reception. It promises to be an inspiring and sociable afternoon!
