Method
We believe that during the development of V&S systems it is important to simultaneously account for technological and organizational factors. Sound V&S system development that meet this requirement requires a close and ongoing collaboration between academics and practitioners. VISICO research focuses on fostering such collaboration activities by establishing a center where practitioners and academics can meet to develop new or improve existing V&S systems by

Identifying existing practical problems by observing how construction practitioners organize work and how they try to use existing V&S systems to do so, |

Develop new V&S systems with accompanying work processes or work processes around existing systems in close collaborations with the observed practitioners that can overcome the identified problems, and |

Implement these newly developed V&S systems and processes in practice to measure and improve the systems' and work processes and, in this way, move existing practice forward. |
