Research within the laboratory is done within the Institute of Mechanics, Processes and Control (IMPACT).

Furthermore, a number of projects is done at the Materials Innovation Institute (M2i) and the Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI) .

Next to the M2i, DPI and bilateral research, funded by companies and institutions like TNO, research projects are funded by the technology foundation STW and the Innovation Directed Research Programme IOP of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.
