Welcome to the Laboratory for Surface Technology and Tribology

The Laboratory for Surface Technology and Tribology focuses on phenomena that occur in the contact between surfaces. Friction, lubrication and wear are examples of such phenomena. Using surface treatments and coatings, these tribological aspects of contacts can be controlled. The subjects Surface Technology and Tribology are closely linked in our research projects and the courses we teach.
