Lockers

For the benefit of education purposes free lockers (lockable storage facilities) are made available to CTW- and TNW-students. You can acquire a locker during the introduction to the program (end of August). Outside this period you can contact the department for Financial matters CTW.

There are a number of rules that accompany the use of a locker:

1. Students can avail of a locker during the first four years of their studies. A deposit of €30.00 is required to be paid for the locker key. After handing in the key the deposit will be returned.

2. The key needs to be handed in immediately after completion of the cursory part of the program (before the internship or graduation thesis), or after stopping with the program prematurely. If you do not hand in the key within 3 months then the deposit amount expires and the contents of the locker will be removed.

Students who choose to graduate internally can continue to use a locker on request of the same.

3. Students can have at their disposal the key to just one locker. If a student has more than one locker keys in his/her possession, the right to make use of a free locker of the faculty is withdrawn automatically.

4. Lockers can only be used during the teaching period of an academic year. This period is between the 1st of September and the 1st of July.

The lockers need to be emptied during the summer months so that the faculty has the opportunity to conduct necessary maintenance on the lockers. For the safety of the maintenance personnel all belongings remaining in the lockers will be removed.

5. Students may be compelled to exchange their locker keys for that of another locker during this period in case this is deemed necessary for administrative reasons.

6. A locker can be exchanged on request of the student if the educational activities of the concerned student shift within the Horst building.

7. The facilities can be used exclusively for the purpose of educational activities. Some lockers have also been fitted with a power supply. This is to be used exclusively to recharge a laptop. Using the power supply for other purposes will be considered as an imposition on the hospitality of the faculty.

If it turns out that a student is using the power supply for purposes other than intended, then the right to make use of a free locker of the faculty is withdrawn automatically and the deposit amount is declared forfeited.

Any possible damage caused to the building or to the property of others due to the use of the power supply for purposes other than recharging laptops will be recovered from the user of the locker in question.

8. In case of a shortage of lockers students who purchased a laptop through the Notebook Service Centre will have priority.
