Application domains

ICT has already had significant impact on the amelioration of living conditions, economic wealth and successful innovations across many different application areas. ICT is not only an important sector of economic activity in its own right, it is the essential engine for innovation within all knowledge-intensive domains within society. Although CTIT researchers are working on a broad field of applications, such as water management, energy and environment, financial services, entertainment, leisure and the creative industry, wellbeing and medicine, security and safety, automotive and transport, training and communication support, the main application focus of CTIT is on a selected number of areas that are of societal and economic relevance.
