S3CADA – Secure and Survivable SCADA
Description of research
SCADA refers to a set of hardware and software components used to control industrial processes, as well as critical infrastructures. SCADA systems were originally isolated from public networks, and security was assured by locks and keys. Nowadays interconnections with the internet are becoming more and more common, and the complexity has been constantly growing. However, modern security measures (e.g., intrusion detection systems) are not effective in SCADA environments. Therefore there is a need to research and develop ad-hoc security measures for SCADA.
