Service tailoring facility for homecare: Adapting and personalizing homecare services
Description of research
The U-care project is developing a flexible homecare services platform to support independent living of elderly. In addition to providing certain types of homecare services, there is a need to cope with the uniqueness of a patient's requirements and preferences, and the dynamicity of a patient's condition and circumstances. It should be possible to personalize the services provided by homecare systems according to the needs of each individual patient. We name this adaptation of the services to the user needs, service tailoring. My approach to homecare service tailoring is to create personalized homecare services through composing and configuring existing services, based on knowledge about and input from the potential future care receivers.
