Real Time Enterprise: Distributed Situation Assessment and Reasoning

Description of research

The research area of wireless sensor networks has a lot of potential in numerous applications ranging from environmental monitoring to the control of industrious processes. To fulfill this potential however, existing research results need to be mapped to real-life applications. This research focuses on the practical and optimal use of existing intelligent algorithms in real-life WSN scenario's, more specifically in logistic and industrial processes.

Important aspects of this research include distributed processing, context- and event recognition and predictive maintenance using WSN's.
