Mission

Integration of technology-based research and its application in specific domains is a clear focus of CTIT. Therefore, our mission is ‘To be an internationally acknowledged scientific research institute in the area of design and application of advanced telematics and information technology systems, and their integration into user environments’.

This means: ‘bringing together two worlds: technological knowledge and implementation in a selected set of application areas’. The mission is reflected in the wide range of disciplines from which the research staff are drawn. The spectrum of groups involved ranges from primarily technology oriented towards highly application oriented. This broad participation is a key condition to enable fast response to the needs of multidisciplinary research and places the CTIT in a strong and unique position.
