German Prizes for Excellent Education Awarded

The Committees of the Stifterverband have awarded prizes for initiatives to enhance quality of education to four Fachhochschulen and six universities. The three-year projects had to be innovative and connected to the strategic profile of the institutions. CHEPS-staff member Don Westerheijden was a member of the committee for Fachhochschulen and says: "We had very interesting and diverse proposals. The choice of prize winners reflects the breadth of proposals. Some were about stimulating academic staff for new teaching methods, others focused on adapting education to the increasing diversity of students and to the demands of the 21st century knowledge society."
