Your programme

International Business Administration is a three-year English-language degree programme. It is entirely taught in English and all course material is in English. As English is the working language in many large and medium sized companies, studying International Business Administration offers you a head start in your aspirations for an international career.

The following aspects characterise the programme:

Interactive teaching methods

During your Bachelor programme you attend lectures, seminars and take part in projects. The lectures stimulate listening and accurate note taking. In seminars (also known as tutorials) you work with a small group to apply the theory from the lectures. You have plenty opportunity to ask the lecturer questions or to discuss issues; this format is more or less comparable to teaching situations you will be familiar with from pre-university education. In projects – the key element in your degree programme – you quickly learn to look beyond the boundaries of the various disciplines.

Theory & Practice

Another unique aspect of the programme is the intensive contact you have with actual business practice. Since learning from the professional sector is one of the key features of this programme you regularly visit companies and conduct case studies. Internships form an important element of your degree programme. This study therefore offers you direct exposure to the international business community during all phases of the programme.

Example of the contact with actual business practice: IBA students win trip to Athens

The challenge was for all IBA students of the University of Twente and consisted out of two assignments with as final goal to give suggestions to improve the Greek Acropolis Museum’s website. We received their enthusiast report. Read more.
