Fees and Funding

Your education is an important investment for you and your family. A full picture of that investment includes tuition and living expenses and the resources to cover these costs: family contributions, scholarships and employment.

Ø

Tuition fees are similar at all Dutch universities because they are set by the government. Fees vary depending on degree level (Bachelors/Pre-Master or Masters) and whether you are working towards a technical or non-technical diploma. Nationality, residency and enrolment also influence study costs.

Ø

Living costs include typical expenses like visa administration, books, housing, health insurance and food, as well as less obvious needs, such as a bicycle.

Ø

Grants and scholarships for academically-deserving students are available from privately-established funds, organisations, the University of Twente and the Dutch government.

For many students, a part-time job is a source of work and social experience as well as money. Working while you study is an option, even if you don't speak Dutch.

Aside from information, we can offer one reassurance: a Twente education provides life-long dividends.
