Programme requirements

To be offered a place on the Bachelor’s in European Public Administration, you must first meet a number of requirements, depending on whether your previous education was in the Netherlands or elsewhere.

Diploma

Information about Dutch diplomas can be found at the Dutch pages.

Students with a school-leaving certificate from another country will be admitted onto the programme providing the certificate is equivalent to the Dutch vwo-certificate (for example, the German Abitur, the Belgian 'Diploma van Secundair Onderwijs', or the International or European Baccelaureat).

Further requirement

A further requirement is that you have a reasonable grasp of mathematics and a satisfactory command of English. This can either have been part of your subject cluster for your school-leaving certificate or, alternatively, you can fulfil this requirement by sitting the University of Twente entrance exam.

Students with a German Abitur certificate with “Mathematik und Englisch bis zum Abitur” will be directly admitted on to the European Studies programme without any further requirements being set.

Students with a different foreign certificate from a previous education are advised to contact the Admission Office of the University of Twente early on. You can either telephone the office on (+0031) 53 489 4317 or e-mail: AdmissionOffice@disc.utwente.nl.
The Admission Office will then determine whether you meet the admission requirements for the Bachelor’s programme in European Studies.

Deadline

If you are an international student who doesn’t require a visa the deadline for enrolment is 1 June 2012.

The deadline for international students who do require a visa is 1 May 2012.
