As global challenges increase and new technologies emerge, our future calls for a New Engineer: an academic all-rounder who can combine technological and societal approaches to design solutions that can be implemented in a range of social, cultural and political contexts.

ATLAS is for students with a broad interest, ambition and pioneering spirit. As an ATLAS trailblazer you are driven by technology, but also socially engaged. You will acquire a solid foundation in both engineering and social science concepts, but will also develop your creativity, flexibility, leadership and communication skills to become an academic all-rounder.

The fully English taught programme is structured thematically around real-world global issues. You will develop original solutions and learn how to turn them into real changes that make the world a better place. Part of your curriculum is a ‘personal pursuit’ that focuses on developing your personal interest: music, sports, a second language, development work or attending an international summer school.

With an ATLAS BSc Honours degree you will be eligible for prestigious technical or social science Master’s programmes in the Netherlands or abroad.
