Onderwijskwaliteit en evaluatie

We would like to know from our students what they think about the course contents, the way these courses are taught and how these courses work out in the study program.

To keep ourselves systematically informed of the opinion of the students, AT has a structured evaluation system centered around the OKC-AT (Evaluation Committee). In this committee both students and instructors participate.

The OKC-AT is responsible for the course- and semester evaluation in the bachelor program. The OKC-AT decides each block which courses are evaluated, usually by online questionnaires. Additionally 2 students from the OKC-AT organize an evaluation meeting with a student panel where the courses and the block as a whole is discussed. The instructors are asked for a response on the reports of these meetings. This approach to the evaluation is described in the quality assurance handbook of AT (kwaliteitshandboek (Dutch)).

Based on course evaluations, panel meetings, the response of the instructors and the grade statistics, the OKC-AT prepares an evaluation report every semester. This report gives points of attention.

As soon as a report is finished it is sent to the program director, the program coordinator and the education committee (OLCAT). The OLC-AT discusses the reports (and the points of attention) and gives an advice to the program director on possible actions. In the evaluation process the OKC-AT compares the results and points of attention with those of the previous year.

Please everyone participate!

Help by filling out the questionnaires. Respond to requests to participate in the student panel of the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year. For each panel approximately 10 students are needed. Once each block the panel meets to discuss the previous block – while enjoying their free lunch.

There are also other ways to ventilate your opinion: address your instructor directly individually or as a group, talk the board of the study association, talk to your mentor, the study advisor, the program coordinator, the program director or contact one of the members of the OKC-AT.
