Conferentie van de association for researches in psychology and health

Op 31 januari en 1 februari 2013 wordt de tweede conferentie van de Association for Researchers in Psychology and Health (ARPH) gehouden in de Drienerburght op de Universiteit Twente. Op de conferentie presenteren Nederlandse en Belgische onderzoekers hun onderzoek op het terrein van psychologie en gezondheid.

Key note speakers zijn prof. Reinout Wiers (University of Amsterdam,The Netherlands): Implicit cognition, substance use and health: new perspectives and interventions; Prof. Fabrizio Benedetti (University of Turin Medical School, Italy): The placebo response: how words and rituals change the patient’s brain; en Dr. Kirk Warren Brown (Virginia Commonwealth University,USA): Mindful response to stress: Health-supportive evidence from neuroscience and psychology.

Thema’s zoals interventies via Internet, psychosociale factoren bij chronische ziekte, vermoeidheid, ehealth, sociaal-normatieve invloed op eetgedrag, acceptatie van chronische pijn, etc. worden besproken.

De conferentie wordt georganiseerd door de vakgroep Psychologie, Gezondheid & Technologie (PGT): Christina Bode, Nikki Damen, Stans Drossaert, Erik Taal, Gerben Westerhof, Jobke Wentzel. Onderzoek op het gebied van e-health en health promotion and assessment vindt plaats in het Institute for Innovation and Governance Studies.
